Talbott Recovery Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Why Choose Us?
Talbott Recovery has been a national addiction treatment leader since 1989. We were among the first programs using special techniques to help doctors, lawyers and pilots become substance-free. Today, this same care philosophy is available to any eligible patient. Find out more about us.
Partial hospitalization provides treatment six hours a day, five days a week. Highlights of our program include:
- Addiction medicine specialists: Board-certified addiction psychiatrists and physicians help guide your recovery. They have undergone rigorous training and stay current with new substance use research findings. Meet the staff.
- Convenience: Talbott Recovery makes it easier to fit addiction treatment into your busy schedule. Partial hospitalization services are available at our main campus in Atlanta or in Dunwoody. Day and evening sessions are available. If you are coming to us from far away, you also have the option of staying in recovery residences.
- Range of services: After PHP, you may benefit from intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP). This program provides additional support as you resume daily activities. Our offerings also include a dual diagnosis program for people dealing with addiction and mental illness.

PHP Program: What to Expect
Talbott Recovery offers a caring, supportive environment for healing from addiction and committing to a substance-free life. You receive coordinated services from staff addiction medicine specialists, masters-level therapists, continuing care coordinators, case managers and family counselors. We work together to address your changing needs throughout treatment.
Our approach includes:
- Assessment: We ask about current substance use and its impact on your life to help us determine the addiction severity. Our thorough approach considers your psychiatric, psychological, social and family needs. Read more about admissions.
- Treatment planning: We use a variety of techniques, including individual and group therapy, to help you achieve your treatment goals. Explore addiction treatment programs.
- Medication-assisted addiction recovery: For some substances, like alcohol and opiates, medications help ease the recovery process. We use prescription drugs that relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings.
- Monitoring: Staff continuously monitor your progress and adjust treatments to your changing needs. You also meet with an addiction medicine doctor every week. These regular touchpoints help you receive consistent support from a trusted specialist.
- Continuous care planning: Staff help set the foundation for maintaining sobriety well before discharge. We assist you in finding a psychiatrist or therapist close to home. We also connect you with our alumni addiction support services.
