Talbott Recovery Intensive Outpatient Program: Why Choose Us?
Talbott Recovery was among the first programs specializing in addiction treatment for doctors, lawyers and pilots. Licensed professionals come to us from across the nation, Canada and Europe due to our high success rates. Now, similar treatment methods are available to any eligible patient regardless of occupation. Find out more about us.
Our IOP program provides care three hours a day, five days a week. Highlights of our program include:
- Addiction medicine specialists: Board-certified addiction psychiatrists and physicians help guide your care. They have undergone rigorous training in addiction recovery and stay current with new research findings. Meet the staff.
- Experienced therapists: Licensed, highly trained therapists provide additional services, including individual and group counseling. They specialize in substance use disorders and offer a depth of experience, giving you better chances of success.

Intensive Outpatient Program Treatments
It’s important to understand what’s driving addictive behaviors so you can start healing. Staff give you information and encouragement to create the changes necessary for lasting sobriety.
Your personalized care plan may include:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on reframing negative thoughts and beliefs so that they don’t lead to substance use.
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) makes it easier to accept and cope with unpleasant emotions, preventing them from triggering substance use.
- Eye movement desensitization and processing (EMDR) involves specific eye movements that help the brain recognize a traumatic situation as a past event. Doing so makes it easier to let go of associated feelings and behaviors.
- Family counseling includes sessions with you and your loved ones to support your recovery and address relationship issues. Read more about addiction family therapy.
- Psychoeducation involves learning about the physical, environmental and social factors that contribute to substance use.
