Dr. Michael Fishman joined Talbott Recovery to launch the Young Adult Program in 2006. He is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment of young adults suffering from addictive diseases, and specializes in addiction medicine, including treatment of nicotine dependence.
After graduating magna cum laude in biology from the University of Georgia, Dr. Fishman received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he also did his internship and residency training. Dr. Fishman is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi scholastic fraternities as well as the Golden Key national and Alpha Epsilon Delta premedical honor societies. Dr. Fishman’s certifications include Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Board Certified by American Board of Addiction Medicine and Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is also the author of multiple articles on the treatment of substance use disorders published in The Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment.
