Contemplating life after treatment can be both daunting and exciting. Implementing the skills you learned can be a challenge when removed from the daily support of Talbott Recovery. Fortunately, you’re not alone as you make the transition back to everyday life. Once you leave our campus, you’re initiated into The Life Challenge family. The L+C is an initiative to support you in your recovery and help you meet any challenges head on. Maybe you struggle to get out of bed or relate to loved ones. Maybe you’re committed to reaching personal goals, both large and small, but you lack guidance or encouragement. That’s the void The Life Challenge fills. Our positive, motivational community is here for you. Together we break down the barriers that keep you from fully experiencing life and celebrate one another’s accomplishments along the way.
Under the guidance and leadership of Sabrina Mathis, coordinator of alumni support services, The Life Challenge brings together the alumni programs of all of our facilities to create a broader support community. This gives each individual a valuable opportunity to connect with others in recovery. Even after completing a Talbott Recovery treatment program, you will be able to connect with other alumni from all over the country, providing a vast network of potential friends, advocates and mentors.
Ongoing, Active Support
To The Life Challenge, you’re more than just a name on a list. You and your recovery are important to us, and we sincerely want to see you succeed. Our team of personable, genuine motivators will follow-up with you through phone calls, emails, text messages – whatever form of communication you prefer. We’re active on social media and within the local community, hosting events and reunions for members of The Life Challenge. You invested in your health, and we, in turn, are invested in you.
A vital part of recovery is celebrating the small things, the seemingly unimportant achievements. If it took courage or perseverance, we want to know about it. That’s why we created Bragging Rights, a web page dedicated to recognizing and commemorating your accomplishments. Share a photo of you meeting up with friends, enjoying family dinner, relishing in a sunset or whatever makes you proud. This is a place where those accepting the challenge can inspire and encourage others.
